Install Zerosum

Zerosum works in your web browser and in the mobile apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android. Sign in with the same account everywhere and your budget stays in sync across all of them.

On the web

Go to my.zerosumapp.com and sign in. There is nothing to install: it works in any modern browser on your computer, tablet, or phone.

iPhone, iPad, and Android apps

The mobile apps are a free download. Sign in with the account you already use and your budget is right there.

• Download Zerosum on the App Store for iPhone and iPad (iOS 15 or later).
• Get Zerosum on Google Play for Android (Android 7.0 or later).

What the mobile apps add on top of the web version:

• Native sign-in: one tap with the sign-in sheet built into your phone, no code to type. Apple and Google on iPhone and iPad, Google on Android.
• Push notifications: get a nudge when transactions are waiting for review, whether they arrived from bank sync or from a scheduled template. Choose which budgets notify you in Settings > Privacy and device.
• One tap from the home screen: the app opens straight on your home page (your budget, unless you choose another in Settings > Navigation > Home page).

ℹ️ Note: The mobile apps run the same Zerosum you use on the web, so new features and fixes reach every device at the same time. The Android app does not sell subscriptions: start your trial or manage your plan at my.zerosumapp.com, then sign in on your phone.

Install from your browser (optional)

Prefer not to use the app stores, or want Zerosum in its own window on your computer? You can install the web version as an app (a Progressive Web App). It opens full screen from your home screen, dock, or Start menu and updates itself. Open my.zerosumapp.com first, then:

• iPhone and iPad: in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, then Add.
• Android: in Chrome, tap the menu (three dots), then Install app or Add to Home screen. In Firefox, tap the menu, then Install. In Samsung Internet, tap the menu, then Add page to > Home screen.
• Mac: in Chrome or Edge, click the install icon in the address bar (or choose Install Zerosum from the menu). In Safari on macOS Sonoma or later, choose File > Add to Dock.
• Windows: in Chrome, click the install icon in the address bar (or choose Save and share > Install Zerosum from the menu). In Edge, click App available in the address bar (or choose Apps > Install Zerosum from the menu). Firefox on desktop cannot install web apps.

Does Zerosum work offline?

Not yet. Zerosum needs an internet connection, so opening the app without one shows a "You're offline" screen instead of your budget. Nothing is lost: your data lives safely on our servers, and the app picks up right where you left off once you are back online.
